To be launched in the first quarter of 2020, Hong Kong Junior Secondary Assessment in Core Subjects is an assessment test that aims at assessing the performance of Chinese, English, and Mathematics of Secondary Three students in Hong Kong. Performance of students of the same grade will be compared and analysed.

Since the education reform for Hong Kong’s education system, the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examinations was abandoned in 2012. Students and parents have breathed a sigh of relief, but the entire secondary school learning process has lost the only objective territory-wide indicator of student progress. The entire secondary school learning effectiveness can no longer be accurately evaluated until the DSE results are released, which is already too late to implement any remedy.

In view of this, Beacon has gone a step further by establishing Assessment International (Hong Kong) Limited led by Dr. Luo Guanzhong.  An exclusive evaluation and assessment tool was developed to provide professional assessments on Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics for Secondary 1-3 students so that schools and their teachers can compare their students’ academic levels against their counterparts in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
